Day 1: Arrival into Kigali
Day 1: Arrival in Kigali, Rwanda
Arrive in Kigali, Rwanda’s vibrant capital. Depending on your arrival time, you can explore the city a bit, visiting the Kigali Genocide Memorial or relaxing at a boutique hotel before your journey into the mountains.

Day 2-4: Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes Naitonal PArk
Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
You’ll then travel to Volcanoes National Park, which is about a 2.5-3 hour drive from Kigali. This park is famous for its population of mountain gorillas and is one of the best places in the world for gorilla trekking.
Gorilla Trekking Experience
Day 2 will be spent trekking through the lush, misty rainforests of the park, looking for one of the families of mountain gorillas. These treks can range from 1 to 6 hours depending on where the gorillas are located, so it's an active experience, but one of the most rewarding you’ll ever have.
Once you find a group, you’ll spend one hour in their presence, observing them interact, play, and feed. It’s a profoundly moving and awe-inspiring experience—being in close proximity to these gentle giants, watching them behave naturally in the wild.

Day 5-7 - Safari in the Grumeti Reserve (Tanzania)
Fly to Serengeti/Grumeti
After your unforgettable gorilla experience, you’ll take a flight (typically through Kilimanjaro or Arusha) to Grumeti Reserve, located in northern Tanzania, which is a private concession bordering the Serengeti National Park.
Grumeti is famous for its incredible wildlife, including large populations of big cats, elephants, and the annual wildebeest migration.
Safari Experience in Grumeti Reserve
Spend the next few days going on game drives in the reserve. Grumeti is less crowded than the Serengeti, meaning your safari will be more private and intimate. Expect to see lions, leopards, cheetahs, and hippos, as well as stunning birdlife.
The Great Migration: If you're visiting during the migration season (usually between May and July), you may be lucky enough to witness the migration of millions of wildebeest and zebras crossing the Grumeti River.
Bush Walks & Night Safaris: Many lodges in Grumeti offer walking safaris and night game drives for a deeper connection with the environment.

After your thrilling safari, head to the paradise of Zanzibar, a tropical island off the coast of Tanzania. You’ll fly from Serengeti or Arusha to Zanzibar, with a short flight transfer.

Zanzibar offers pristine white sand beaches, turquoise waters, and a rich cultural heritage, making it a perfect place to unwind after your safari adventures.
